Colin is the Principal Dentist and owner of the Practice. He qualified from the Welsh National School of Medicine in Cardiff in 1982 and gained 'The Cecil Berg Prize' for restorative dentistry. Colin started The Dental Surgery in Stalbridge in 1984. He has a special interest in cosmetic work and complex restorative treatment, but is qualified and experienced in all aspects of General Dental Practice. Additional qualifications were gained in 2005. He is a member of the BDA, British Dental Health Foundation, the Chicago Dental Society, The British Society for Restorative Dentistry and West Dorset IPG. Colin runs the Practice with his wife Hayley and they incorporated the Practice in 2008.
Joined the Practice in February 2010. He qualified in 1982. After gaining experience he ran his own 3 surgery practice in Liverpool for many years. He also worked for two years in the Liverpool Dental Hospital Oral Surgery department. He is an experienced and very capable general dental practitioner, able to undertake all types of general dental treatment, and is good with people.
Joined the Practice team in September 2010. Bob is also a very experienced and competent dentist. Bob qualified in 1973. He has previously run his own dental practice, served on a Local Dental Committee, and is currently still working part time at East Surrey Hospital. His excellent ‘sense of humour’ and caring attitude have made him an instant hit with staff and patients alike. Eddie and Bob are ‘job sharing’ and this arrangement is working very well for the Practice.
Hayley has been a Dental Nurse at the Practice since 1992, passing the National RDN Examinations in 1994. She is now an NVQ Assessor & Internal Verifier for Dental Nursing in Dorset. She assists in Practice management and admin work, as well as 'helping out' as needed.
Lucy joined the Practice in March 2001. She is a fully qualified Dental Nurse, completing National Examinations in 2003. She works part time and covers additional times as required.
Hannah joined as dental nurse in 2006. She is a fully qualified dental nurse, through the NVQ Dental Nursing Scheme. She is also a qualified Dental Health Educator. Hannah is responsible for supply and ordering.
Nicky also joined in 2006 and is a qualified dental nurse, also through the NVQ Dental Nursing Scheme. Nicky is responsible for updating the Practice log book.
Sarah joined the Practice in 2008 as our main receptionist. She is very experienced and, with her warm and calming personality, is a big hit with our patients.
Cathy joined the practice as part time receptionist in February 2011. She has previously run her own local business and so understands working in a team, is already known and liked by many of our patients, is competent on the computer, and is good working with people.
