Stalbridge Dental Practice Ltd

Practice History

Stalbridge Dental Practice is a modern, well equipped, preventative dental practice
offering a comprehensive and caring service for all patients

Colin Orman started the 'Dental Surgery' on 23rd January 1984 in response to Villagers request for a dentist. At that time the practice was completely NHS and operated in the High Street. Two years later the practice was expanding and was moved to 'Coppernside' in Lower Road. Finally the practice was moved to its present location in May 1989. The practice is now in a central position in the Town, with good access and nearby free parking. We have limited disabled parking at the rear of the Practice.

The practice has been computerised since 1988. 'State of the Art' equipment and digital imaging was installed for the Millennium. Regular updating always ensures the latest and best treatments are available for you. We have just completed major refurbishment during 2007 to provide the best possible service to you.

In June 1991 the 'Dental Surgery' was renamed as 'Stalbridge Dental Practice' in keeping with a more modern image and to coincide with the introduction of Independent Practice. We now offer our own CARE plans which are very popular with our patients. These positively encourage patients to come regularly and us to provide good, modern, and preventive dentistry.

We helped pilot Denplan's Quality Initiative with other members of West Dorset Independant Practitioner's Group. Our Practice also passed full BUPA-Dental Accreditation in 1996. As part of West Dorset IPG we adhere to their Code of Practice.
