History
|
Colin Orman started the
'Dental Surgery' on 23rd January 1984 in response to Villagers request for a
dentist. At that time the practice was completely NHS and operated from 2
Devonshire House in High Street. Two years later the Practice was expanding and
was moved to 'Coppernside' in Lower Road. Finally the Practice was moved to its
present location in May 1989, a central position in the Town, with good access
and nearby parking.. In June 1991 the 'Dental Surgery' was renamed as
'Stalbridge Dental Practice' in keeping with a more modern image and to
coincide with the introduction of Independent Practice.
The practice has
been computerised since 1988. 'State of the Art' equipment and digital imaging
has been installed for the New Millennium. Regular updating at the Practice
ensures the latest and best treatment is available for you.
We helped
pilot Denplan's Quality Initiative with other members of West Dorset
Independent Practitioner's Group. Our Practice also passed full BUPA-Dental
Accreditation in 1996. These are rigorous, ongoing, quality assessment tests
seperate from initial registration with the companies.
As a member of
'West Dorset Independent Practitioners Group' we adhere to the
WDIPG Code of Practice.
